Robert Visser - principal house inspector

Robert Visser commenced his building apprenticeship in 1979, gaining a Trade Certificate and Advanced Trade Certificate in Building and Construction. Since completing his apprenticeship, Robert has worked in:

  • Commercial building (including dairy company projects)
  • Boat building, new residential
  • Residential renovations
  • Project management in New Zealand and overseas.

Robert Visser formed Visser Building Developments Limited in 1989. The focus of Visser Building Developments has been on high end architectural residential renovation building work. The work undertaken by Visser Building Developments has required close working relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and sub-contractors to ensure a result that exceeds the client’s and professional’s expectation. While working on multiple projects, Robert and his building teams have earned a reputation for high quality workmanship and project management skills, and these skills are now utilised in House-Spy’s thorough and professional approach to building inspections.

House-Spy Building Inspections was launched in 2008 to establish a tandem identity for the building inspection side of the business. House-Spy remains under the banner of Visser Building Developments Limited. Our continuing involvement in the building industry enables us to remain up to date with building regulations and developments/issues with building construction and materials, and building good practice.
